Lilies, Roses & Gerbera is a Other Flower Bouquet
Traditionally a bride will carry a small "nosegay" or as it is now more commonly known, a small posy flower bouquet. However, a nosegay can also be given as a gift. The word nosegay dates back to the fifteen hundreds, where the word "gay" meant ornament, so the nosegay was an ornament for the nose due the fragrant nature of flower bouquets. Other names for a nosegay include tussie-mussie or posy. In floriography (the language of flowers) it is believed there are different flowers and different colours of flowers for the different messages one wishes to send, although these change geographically and over a period of time most florists will use floriography as a guideline when making flower bouquets.
